Waking up to the blue skies and white fluffy clouds, alongside with a light breeze of wind, my weekend started on a peaceful note. Thinking about the high tea session I had a few days back with Edlyn, I realised how slow and peaceful life can be amidst the busy city life that we live in.
We headed to The Providore nestled at Mandarin Gallery, which was pretty quiet - accompanied with small chats coming from the other diners.

Pleasant ambience and lovely service from the staff. Sometimes, I feel that the treatment I’ve received from other places just lacked the warm and homely feel, and it does make me think twice about revisiting that place - unless the food is really good! Putting that aside, both of us had fruit scones and a pot of tea each, just like how we loved it in London!
Edlyn went for the Lychee Green Tea - which was not overly sweet and had a light hint of lychee, perfect for someone who have a sweet tooth but yet want to get a taste of the tea. I went for the Jasmine Earl Grey - although I am not an Earl Grey fan, the Jasmine enticed me to try it, and so I did! Very interesting mix, while I could taste the notes of Earl Grey, the Jasmine scent balanced out the flavours and I love it! Worth a try for someone like me who can’t appreciate Earl Grey 😂
The scones were equally good, as it was warm, soft and buttery. Paired alongside with the butter and raspberry jam, it warms my heart as I ate it while it was pouring heavily in town.
After our high tea, we headed towards Sephora at Ion for their 20% store wide sale! The queue was pretty insane but it went pretty quickly too. We had an impromptu decision to watch Dumbo too, and it was a movie that tugged my heartstrings. Literally, most Disney movies makes me want to sob because of the animations and storylines. Dumbo is one movie that shows the importance of friendship and kinship, something that consistently reminds us that without our family and friends, we could feel lonely and fearful. At the same time, it shows how nature can be beautiful, while showing human nature. It’s a good watch for me, definitely! Recommended for Disney fans :)
Well, that’s all for today! Happy Saturday guys and do give me any opinions that you may have.
goodbye,
cynnie.
